Please find enclosed our cheque for ------. This is the result of ongoing coin collections and fund raising by my year group. They have taken the situation of the children within your care to their hearts and have been not only collecting on a regular basis with coins at their daily registrations, but also taken part in several fund-raising events such as ‘bring and buy’ sale, talent showcase, guess the baby photo of staff, guess the (disguised) voice of staff …. to name but a few. The events will continue, and we aim to achieve an even higher target by next summer.
I would like to stress what a marvelous experience this fund-raising has been, for all of us at our school. We call our campaign ‘Every Penny Counts’ (after the coins the girls collect) and it make them realise the power of even the smallest of starts to bring about such positive changes. There are girls in our school who have their own difficulties to endure and overcome, and helping your children has brought about a realisation that we are all part of a global family and that by supporting each other we ALL benefit.
