Family History:

Vicent has got a sister at Bethany called Anna. His mother died on 16th February 2008 when he was five years old. He was left with his father and his sister Anna at their grandmother’s house because that is where they used to live even before her mother died. In May 9th 2009, his grand mother also died so he was left with his father and his sister. Due to these deaths, Vicente’s father was so frustrated and he became mentally ill and often left wanders here and there without even knowing where he is going. He looses memory even on whether his children have eaten or not. He could not really take care of his two children so it was just the neighbours and good Samaritans who used to cook for them and really help the father with the  taking care of the children. The situation became very worse especially when the neighbour were so busy with their family matters so these children and the father would starve and go hungry many days.  Until the village leader called  at the social welfare office and explained the situation and the District social officer paid a visit to the family, he investigated from the neighbors and found that really the children had no any future and hope for living. A meeting was held at a village level and some one mentioned about Bethany being the Family for deprived children, so the social welfare officer wrote a report of his investigation and an application letter to the Bethany Family for the children’s admittance.
On 22/09/2010. the children were brought to Bethany along with the letters from the village leader and from the social welfare officer. The Bethany management had a meeting to discuss about this and the decision was made that we accept them into our family.
To date, Vicent is coping ok within this new family and she is gaining her confidence daily.
