History: Both of Rehema’s parents died, lastly her mother in 1999 leaving her an orphan living with her older sister and elderly grandmother. Her grandmother’s children are all either dead or living on the street leaving five grandchildren in her custody. The life of her grandmother is critical due to old age (in her 80’s) and has health and poverty problems. Rehema being the youngest was the most difficult to care for and her grandmother requested assistance in caring for her. Rehema had been living in a family environment and it was thought best to continue with this way of life as much as possible. The Bethany Family was approached as being a loving and caring environment to take care of Rehema. Rehema had been kindly taken care of by family and friends until it became apparent that there was no-one able to take care of her. Rehema, at the time of admission, wished she could lead a normal life of going to school and being taken care of. She was, however, fairly well looked after. To date Rehema is a friendly girl who gets on well with the other children in the Bethany family and enjoys her school work. She occasionally sees her grandmother and sister and seems very content at Bethany
