History:
Peter came to Bethany with his half brother Tabaji (they share a father but different mothers). Their father was a witch doctor and did not like his sons to play with other children in the village. In order to prevent them from playing with other children, their father set fire to their feet and burned them badly. Despite their injuries they both managed to escape and get help. Peter was the first of the brothers to come to Bethany.
It was thought that Bethany could look after both brothers and give them the medical help they needed. Peter’s feet were badly burned and needed a lot of medical attention. His feet had to be dressed by the nurse in the clinic daily.
To date Peter’s wounds have healed although he always wears shoes to cover his scars. He settled in well at Bethany and takes part in all activities along with the other children
