Family History:

Mgosi’s mother was impregnated when she was still at Primary school in STD six.  She is related to Daniel Juma (one of the Bethany previous boy). The man who impregnated her ran away because he was reported at the police for having sex with a pupil. Mgosi’s mother used to live with her grandmother since both of her parents had died when she was at the age of seven. Therefore when she got pregnant, and this man had escaped, she has nobody really to take care of the pregnancy except her very old grandmother. She decided to leave her grandmother and find a job and live on her own. That is where things went so wrong because she never got a job!  Instead she became a prostitute!  By God’s Grace she was able to deliver her son but could not settle ok due to life difficulties. She used to sleep with several men who would give her some money to keep her son. She never had a place to stay so moved from family to family and nobody was really prepared to accommodate her due her bad behaviour. She visited Bethany one time with her son and it is where she asked the Bethany management to help her with Mgosi as she has no place to live, no proper job to take care of him and even educate her. An investigation was made and the officials were contacted in Musoma and they all confirmed of difficulties Mgosi is going through and her bad character of his Mother. She mistreats him many times by beating him very severely when he asks for food and she has not got any means of providing the food, she sometimes abandoned him into people’s families for many days while nobody know she  has gone.  Looked into the best interest of this boy, the management team was fully convinced that we need to rescue this boy’s life, give him education and look after him properly.  To date Mgosi is settling ok into the Bethany Family and has started school.
